Our bestseller Aster shirtdress is back in a composition of new limited edition lightweight cotton indigo prints, hand printed in Guinea by women artisans.
The cloth is first printed in light clear wax patterns for a luxurious and exquisite damask like finish, then hand sewn into fine pleats using raffia and dipped in natural indigo- a stitch resist technique called Adire Alabare, creating prints with intricate depth, a technique mastered by the Yoruba women in West Africa since the 1900s.
